  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with foil.
  2. Combine melted butter and dark cocoa powder in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix granulated sugar, eggs, espresso powder, and vanilla extract until fluffy.
  4. In another bowl, combine salt, baking powder, and flour; mix into wet ingredients.
  5. Spread batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-28 minutes until slightly sticky when tested with a toothpick.
  6. Prepare coffee cream by dissolving instant coffee in heavy cream.
  7. Beat softened butter with salt; gradually add powdered sugar and coffee cream until fluffy.
  8. Frost cooled brownies generously with coffee frosting.
  9. Melt dark chocolate chips with heavy cream and spread over frosted brownies.
  10. Allow to set before cutting into squares.
