  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp apple pie spice
  • 5 tbsp cinnamon (reserve 1 tbsp for topping)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • Olive oil nonstick spray

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut Honeycrisp apples into ½-inch thick wedges.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, apple pie spice, and 4 tablespoons of cinnamon.
  3. Coat apple wedges in the flour mixture using a container with a lid.
  4. Whisk eggs and vanilla in another bowl; dredge each wedge in this mixture.
  5. Return coated wedges to flour mix for a second coating.
  6. Spray air fryer basket with olive oil; place wedges in a single layer and sprinkle with half of the reserved cinnamon sugar.
  7. Cook at 350°F for about 6 minutes; flip, spray again, and cook for another 6 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with optional toppings like caramel sauce or chopped nuts.
