  • 2 large Honeycrisp apples
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (or gluten-free blend)
  • 4 tbsp apple pie spice
  • 5 tbsp cinnamon (reserve 1 tbsp for topping)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • Olive oil nonstick spray

Instructions

  1. Peel apples and cut into 1/2-inch thick wedges.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, apple pie spice, and 4 tbsp cinnamon.
  3. Coat apple wedges with the flour mixture by shaking in a container.
  4. Whisk eggs and vanilla in another bowl; dip apple wedges in this mixture.
  5. Double-dip the apple wedges back into the flour mixture for extra crunch.
  6. Combine brown sugar with remaining cinnamon in a small bowl.
  7. Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil; arrange apple wedges without overcrowding.
  8. Lightly spray tops with olive oil and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mix on top.
  9. Air fry at 350°F for about 6 minutes; flip, spray again, sprinkle remaining sugar mix, and cook for another 6 minutes until golden brown.
