  • 1 ½ sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup concentrated orange juice
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon orange extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, vegetable oil, orange juice, orange extract, and optional zest.
  4. In a mixer bowl, cream together butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Gradually add sugar and mix until fluffy.
