Ideal for any gathering, this delightful appetizer will impress your guests and leave them craving more. Made with just a handful of simple ingredients, you can whip it up in around 20 minutes, making it perfect for busy weeknights or last-minute get-togethers. The rich, tangy feta cheese blended with the sweetness of honey and a hint of spice creates an irresistible flavor combination that pairs beautifully with toasted baguette slices or fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cow’s milk feta cheese
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk (or plain Greek yogurt)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ⅓ cup chopped pistachios (for garnish)
  • toasted baguette slices (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Break feta into pieces and rinse under cold water to reduce saltiness. Drain well.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey and red pepper flakes; simmer until bubbly. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a food processor, blend drained feta, lemon juice, and milk (or Greek yogurt) until creamy. Gradually drizzle in olive oil while processing until smooth.
  4. Transfer whipped feta to a serving bowl, create a swirl on top, drizzle with cooled hot honey, and garnish with pistachios. Serve with toasted baguette slices.
